Whispering Pages Book Embosser Stamp Review…

I am a bit of a sucker for those adverts that keep popping up on your socials, especially lol, if they are something about books, writing or being creative!!! Just the other week I purchased the ‘Luxmend’ split end hair trimmer due to the constant bashing from adverts that are tailored to me through my algorithm and those pesky little cookies that I cannot gobble up like the Cookie Monster. I mean, yes that one was not purchased due to its creative, writing or book tendencies but it has helped with my social anxiety and having to go out to the hairdressers for a trim… Anyway… I digress back to the Whispering Pages book stamp.

This one again was sold to me through constant advert bashing, whether it be a pop up on Facebook, a reel on Instagram or a video on Youtube, this thing was following me everywhere I went.

The reason I caved was because I was about to release my Debut Novel ‘Death’s Carousel’… Amazon link to my book – Can’t blame me for a little plug here and there… But like I said I was about to release my book baby into the world, and I thought it would be a nice touch for my signed copies to have a personal sticker that was stamped from me, just to give it another added personal touch and some added wow factor.

The actual item took about two and a half weeks to arrive from the order date, which is somewhat slow but not horrendous. It arrived in a plastic bag that places like ‘Temu’ adopt for shipping but it was encased in rounds of bubble wrap to keep the item safe.

The actual stamper arrives with no instructions and completely apart, but it does come inside a nice white box with a stamped sticker of your personal stamp to show you beforehand what it will look like once built and you can use it. The fun thing is when you order it online you have a variety of stamp options to choose from, there are book designs, Autumn designs, Spooky designs, dragons and so much more… Which is perfect because it makes it more personal to you and your own personal tastes, plus of course you can choose the name and the writing to be put on the stamp plate, I of course chose ‘From the Library of Piper Nuelle’… I use this item to stamp my books and put stickers on as another way of signing my books for readers, but one of the main attractions of this stamp is for book lover that enjoy reading and have their own library collection of books and want to decorate them and personalise them so no one can steal their book, or if they borrow it, forget who they borrowed it from.

Because the stamp can come apart, it does mean in theory you could order multiple plates with the stamp images on and change them up for different times of year, seasons, type of niche and or genre of book. Which is why they send the item apart and not ready built.

Now it may seem a bit weird that you have to build something yet it comes with no instructions!!! But, I do believe there is a reason more and more companies are adopting this ‘no instructions’ approach, but they do add a QR code to the packaging for you to scan to access instructions on your phone instead. I believe they are doing this approach to potentially save on paper waste that will just end up in the bin or in landfill. Because usually once you have read the instructions once, you will probably never look at them again.

The stamp itself is easy to assemble and takes less than a minute to put together and use. And then once assembled you can start putting it to the test, which is exactly what I did once I built it.

The stamp is of course completely easy to use. You just slide a piece of paper in-between the two plates, and then pull the lever down to leave the stamp mark behind. I would recommend having a practice run on a random piece of like A4 paper, because you need to practice how hard to squeeze the lever and how hard to push down. The first time I did it, I didn’t push hard enough and it barely left any imprint. So now I know to push down hard to leave a good mark on the page.

You can of course use it on stickers (which when you buy the stamp they do offer you at checkout to add on, or the deal I got, I got so many free stickers with my purchase) the stamp on the golden stickers they recommend really shows up well and looks amazing. You can still use it on normal pages and paper inside a book, and although it embosses the page so you can feel the stamp, you can also see it, but it doesn’t stand out so much compared to when you use it on the stickers. I have yet to use it on other stickers that you can buy from stationary stores, but I assume it would work just as well, although the gold stickers from the website are just so extra that they really shine when embossed, so although it will probably still look great, it may not have the same wow factor that the gold ones have!

Would I recommend the ‘Whispering Pages’ book stamp embosser? Yes I would. It has been a cute edition to my author/writer/reader arsenal, and I do feel rather good about myself when I put one of my special book stickers on one of my books and then gift it to a reader, just knowing it is giving just that little bit of extra bougee-ness to it.

The price point is also pretty good for the item and quality you get. I paid £48 for mine which included the deal for the golden stickers, a special keepsake box to keep it in and of course the stamp and the embossing tool. But on the site there are many other deals to compare it to, I believe the embosser can be purchased alone for around £34 which is great if you are on a budget. Plus I found once I purchased one they emailed me deals on getting others, so if you have a friend or a family member that you need a unique gift for, maybe buy yourself one and then wait for the email deals to drop and buy extras.

I think this item would make a great gift for someone who loves and adores reading, writing and or being an author and book organiser. If you want to check it out, here is the link – Whispering Pages – The Whispering Pages – This is just a helpful link, it is not affiliated with the company or anyone else, I just thought it would be handy for you to have.

Overall it’s a great product and does what it says on the tin. I am extremely happy with mine and will continue to use it over and over. I may even have another look and maybe I will grab a stamp for a different season, just to spice things up a little… hehe.

I hope my blog post helped you decide whether this product would be good for you or not. If it was helpful please leave a like, a share or a comment. Or let me know, do you have one, do you like it as much as I do?

Take care, xo Piper xo
