Wax Lyrical Candle – Library room – Review…

It’s not very often that I think of reviewing a candle but this one was made to be reviewed by someone like me who loves and adores books!!! This candle by Wax Lyrical is named ‘Library Room’, so clearly it is meant to smell and remind you of a library room, a room of calmness, a room where books are thriving and living wall to wall and floor to ceiling, a place of silence and peace, a room where a thousand stories have been told…

So I found this Candle in my local Tesco store and I purchased the smaller one for £9, although after smelling this and falling in love with it I wish I purchased the larger size candle which would last me a bit longer.

The aroma / scent to me has a sweet vanilla tone to it with an undertone of a musk. It actually reminds me of a candle by ‘Yankee Candle’ that I used to love, which I think had the name Egyptian something or other in it, I think it was called something like ‘Egyptian Musk or Egyptian Mist’ or something. But I used to love that smell so much, but I can’t seem to find it anymore, or at least not in the Yankee supplier stores near me. I could possibly look online but I’m lazy like that haha, plus I tend to remember when I smell a candle when out and about, then by the time I get home I then forget to look online for it.

This candle can burn approx. for around 75 hours which is a lot!!! And it smells amazing and fills the air which its aroma and makes my study and my house smell homely, calm and peaceful.

I have really enjoyed using this candle too because it doesn’t spit like some candles do. I purchased one the other day from another company and it spit so much and left black specs of soot all over my side, where as this one hasn’t spat at all and burns nicely, leaving a nice pretty glow and scent in the room. I would also definitely buy this one again, especially with the cooler months and the more Autumnal days fast approaching which is the time of year I love to get candles out more and burn them to feel more… Comfy and cosy… along with a nice mug of hot chocolate or pumpkin spice latte.

For the price point this candle is so worth the money and keep an eye out at Tesco too because they quite often do deals and Clubcard points so either way its a win win. So this candle is defo a winner for me and the smell of vanilla and musk is perfection in a jar.

I love to use candles in my study when I am writing and or studying for my University degree. I use them sometimes to time myself, for example I will buy a much smaller candle and let it burn for a couple of hours until it blows or burns itself out, then I know it is time to stop. Other times I will burn a much bigger candle like this and although I won’t time myself writing against it, I use the smell to inspire me and spur me on.

This candle would also make a great gift for a writer, author or just an avid reader!!! Something a little different don’t you think.
