What is a bookshelf to me?

A bookshelf to me is not just a shelf full of books that I love, adore, or are sitting there pretty waiting to be read, it is actually my emotional support shelf. It has friends on it that I haven’t even met yet, it has worlds and destinations that I haven’t travelled to yet, it has adventures I still need to take, it has horrors I’m yet to witness, it has love and romance I am yet to find, it has magic I am yet to harness and overall, it holds a whole tonne of writing inspiration for me as a writer.

To me a bookshelf is not just a means to store my books, it is a means to store my life.
