I actually read the second book in the series to this first… ‘I bet you’d look good in a coffin’… Weird I know to read it back to front but I purchased the second one first not knowing it was the sequel but I enjoyed it so much I was determined to read the first one to see where Kitty’s story truly began.

Right off the batt I have to say I actually preferred the second book in the series. I think Kitty’s character was more rounded out and I also liked the family aspect that came about when she comes back into contact with some family members. But it was interesting to read where Kitty’s knack for killing bad men started.
The story follows Kitty Collins, an influencer with a dark past that no one knows about, or at least that’s what Kitty thinks until a stalker seems to know what Kitty has done.
Kitty is almost attacked on her way home from a party, and accidentally kills the man but manages to get away with it as it looked like an accident. Then she kills again and again… All the bad men that have done horrific things to women and have essentially got away with it in the eyes of the law.
Then one of her best friends is attacked and Kitty looses it and kills all those involved.
Then she gets a true taste for killing men, dangerous, nasty and horrible men… only thing is her next victim is not who he seems and she accidentally mistakes an innocent for a scumbag!!! This leads to a mental health breakdown.
Kitty manages to get through the breakdown and get away with yet another murder… but her stalker makes a reappearance and knows about all her recent killings and blackmails her into one more.
The story ends on a high with Kitty meeting someone and finding some form of happiness, but the blood thirsty killer inside her is now fully awake and she wants more. Which then leads to the second book.

This book for me was ok, like I said before the second one for me was better. Whilst I enjoyed the fact that bad people were getting their comeuppance for hurting women and abusing women some of it was a little… far fetched. Like yes this is a story and yes maybe it could happen but Kitty makes some mistakes, leaves so many potential pieces of evidence but also, is a smaller framed woman who loves designer heels and gear, but took on three huge men all at once. Yes she used injections and drugs to knock them out and then murder them… but it just felt a little too… much.
Like creating so much bloody mess which could have contaminated her, plus there are always cameras around everywhere, how a camera never caught her I don’t know.
Don’t get me wrong I did enjoy it and it was a good book, I just prefer the second one. I feel Kitty is different in the second one.
I also found there was a lot more sexy time in the first book compared to the second. Like I can’t really remember much sexy time at all in the second, yet the first one had a few occasions in it. Not that, that makes it bad or anything, it just was different that the first one had thrilling murderous scenes and sex scenes but the second was more… toned down a little bit.
Maybe they wanted the second one to be more toned down, I mean, making a guy have a happy moment and then chopping things off was very graphic lol.
Overall it is a good series to read if you like revenge stories.
Yes for me a little far fetched especially as she was an influencer with a huge following and not being caught by cameras was a little… unrealistic as cameras are everywhere now. But they are fun to read and makes you feel a little like the world has been put to rights a little. So if you like the sound of a strong female lead, bad men getting their punishment and influencing, then these books are for you.
