I think I am going through a bit of a nostalgic reading moment, most of these are books I have already read once or twice in my life, but I really had a hankering to read them all again lol. Obviously because I had already bought them once before and I didn’t want to pay full price buying them all again and I love adopting unwanted or unloved books to see if I can love them and give them the home they deserve, so I decided to hit up eBay and scroll through their second hand book sellers and buy them from there.

The books I got in my haul this time are mostly from the Twilight book series, but there is also one book from the Charmed series that I also purchased.

Let’s talk about what I got;

• Twilight – By Stephanie Meyer – I was obsessed with this series back in the day. I am one of those that prefers the books over the films and I am most definitely team Jacob. I used to be team Edward but that was more because I was younger and fell in love with the idea of Edward and the whole Vampiric atmosphere and the edgy vibes the Cullen’s gave. But as I have grown up and got older, I now realise that I fall more on team Jacob. There is also another reason why I wanted to grab this book again… Colourpop done a collab with Twilight. If you don’t know who Colourpop are, they are a makeup brand who in the past have collaborated with a lot of books, television shows, people and brands etc. And for some time now they have had a Twilight collab which I have desperately wanted for so long, and I have finally been able to get my paws on it due to them having some sales hehe. And recently I have been doing a small mini blog post series about books and makeup, so I want to compare the book to the makeup. Plus, I now also have a TikTok or a Book-Tok account where I am doing videos with makeup, books and reviewing all things book-ish related. Most of you most probably know all about Twilight, but if you don’t these books are about a girl, Bella Swan, who falls irrevocably in love with a Vampire called Edward, but also has poor Werewolf Jacob pining over her and wanting to keep her safe and alive. It is a teenage love triangle story which… Is just so nostalgic to me.
• Twilight Saga- New Moon – By Stephanie Meyer – Again I wanted this one because of nostalgic reasons, but also I wanted the books to have the film poster covers again due to the makeup I have ordered from Colourpop because their packing looks like these but also has these colours and tones in the actual makeup. And I want to be able to feel the whole vibe, the whole Twilight vibe with the books and the makeup lol. The New Moon book is the second book in the Twilight saga and to me is the one where Bella sits motionless for months. As I have gotten older I have come to appreciate this scene more. Heartbreak, whether it be from breaking up with a boyfriend / girlfriend, losing a loved one, being betrayed… It is soul destroying at times. I remember thinking back when I was a teen, Why doesn’t she just move on, get over it… But now, I understand that the time stilling, numbing pain, the loneliness is sometimes unavoidable. And I am very much looking forward to reading all these again.
• Twilight Saga – Eclipse – The movie companion by Mark Cotta Vaz – I actually got this one by mistake, I thought I ordered the actual novel and not the movie companion, but either way it doesn’t matter because I will still read it. I love reading behind the scenes books on how they make films or TV shows. I recently read the one all about the Big Bang Theory by Jessica Radloff and it was so eye opening to see how it was created and made to look seamless on telly yet it was filmed on stages, in stages and with a live audience. So I look forward to seeing the behind the scenes to one of the Twilight films.
• Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn – By Stephanie Meyer – The last book in the Saga (Even though I know there is one other about the short life of another character, Bree Tanner and Life and Death and Midnight Sun) But for the most part this is kind of the last book for the initial main story. It is interesting to see how far the characters have come in this book and I remember loving it when Bella turns into her Vampiric self and shows the ‘boss bitch‘ vampires what’s what!!!
• Twilight – The Directors notebook – By Catherine Hardwicke – So like I said earlier, I actually love to read about behind the scenes with films and television shows, so I did intentionally buy this one. And I have had a quick scan through and it has some beautiful images, drawings and it is so up my street I actually cannot wait to read this one.
• Charmed – The book of three – Vol 2 – By Constance M Burge, Diana G Gallagher, Paul Ruditis and Phyllis Ungerleider. Bit of a change up to the whole Twilight collection I decided to buy, but it is based on something else that for me is very nostalgic from my youth, the television show, Charmed! This is a show about three sister witches, originally Prue, Piper and Phoebe Halliwell, and then later when Prue dies and they find their long lost sister Paige Matthews also known as the Charmed ones. They fight evil and save innocents. Now, I actually have all the other books in the Charmed book collection, this was the only one I didn’t posses and now I do!!! I’m so happy and excited that my Charmed book collection is now complete! This book is another companion to a television show, so I’m sensing a theme here haha, that I like to see and understand how films and television shows are made.

So this was my second hand eBay book haul… And I am so looking forward to reading them all… Some of them again… And also comparing some of it to the makeup from Colourpop that I should be receiving soon.
