If you won two free plane tickets, where would you go?

If I won two free plane tickets, number one I would have to purchase two more, because I would have to take my whole little family, I couldn’t leave anyone behind and I also couldn’t be made to choose just one person to go with me because I would miss whoever didn’t come, and we all deserve to explore and adventure the world, not just me.

But… If say I managed to gain a couple of extra tickets then Japan would be my country of choice to visit!!!

I have been obsessed with Japan, Japanese culture and the Anime and Manga that comes from Japan since forever. Sailor Moon was the first ever Manga and Anime I watched as a child and it grew my love and want to see Japan since a child. I love the culture, the history, the architecture, there is just something whimsical and romantic about Japan and I just wish I could see it and experience it for myself. And the thought of all the Japanese cherry blossoms… I even have a Japanese cherry tree in my garden along with some Acer trees to give it a more oriental vibe.

A family friend of mine managed to do her English degree right after school and college and she was able to travel to Japan and taught English there for over two years. She got to love, explore, experience and become part of the whole Japanese lifestyle and she said it was amazing! She said the people were lovely, if a little shy and kept to themselves, but they weren’t rude or obnoxious like some of us British can be lol. She told me how clean the streets were even though there are no public rubbish bins (Due to a historical event) so all bins were banned, people just take their rubbish home and dispose of it. And their love for British TEA!!! She said because she was British they would constantly ask her about cups of tea and she even went to a few ‘British Tea’, tea parties… OMG so cute! she only came back to the UK because Covid happened and she came home on holiday and then got stuck back here and met a guy and fell in love so never returned.

So yes, I would absolutely love to travel to Japan. I would love to see the rural countryside with all its forests, volcanoes and Temples, but I would also love to see the more modern side with its lit up sky lined city landscapes and the shopping malls filled with Sailor Moon goodies!!! Well one can dream I guess… Like Serena dreaming and drooling over… Tuxedo Mask… If you know, you know!
